Our Beliefs
JESUS CHRIST
Jesus Christ is at the center of everything. We believe that Jesus is the only one who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life. We believe that Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.
THE TRINITY
We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.
The bible
We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative, and applicable to our everyday lives.
THE SEPARATION
We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.
THE RECONCILIATION
We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and a fresh start with God, we must repent of our sins, believe in Jesus, and commit to His will for our lives.
THE CHURCH
We believe in the power and significance of the Church and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together.
Our Values
JESUS
In the bible, Jesus said, ‘anyone who has seen me has seen the Father’. So Jesus came as a human in order to reveal God to us, and in so doing, He spoke a language we as humans can understand.
Further, we can relate to Jesus because He is a man able to empathise with our human condition.
Lastly, since Jesus’ mission was to bring freedom and life, we believe that only Jesus can set us free and transform us through His death and resurrection, so that we may enjoy a vibrant life and relationship with God.
So Jesus reveals God, is someone we can relate to, and He makes it possible for us to enjoy fullness of life and a relationship with God that begins on earth and stretches into eternity. For these reasons, we seek to value Jesus above all else.
LOVE
Since God is love and sent Jesus because of love, we too desire to be characterised and motivated by love. In fact, without love, we know that our efforts as individuals and a church will fail to please God, being at best ineffective and at worst obnoxious.
FAMILY
We see Harvest Church as a family where people find belonging, irrespectiveof age, race, socioeconomic status or any other form of diversity. By valuing family, we hope to ensure that nobody will be neglected or overlooked
VIBRANCY
We desire that everyone who calls Harvest home be fully alive, engaged in the present and fruitful by the power of the Holy Spirit. In so doing, we will be walking in the fulfilment of what Jesus came to bring, and we will glorify God in the process
SERVICE
We value service since Jesus, although he was in the form of God, took the form of a servant for our benefit. So as followers of Christ, we too are called to serve God and others. Those who seek to join Harvest will be called to serve their church family and beyond.
